FLAME RETARDANT POLYOLEFIN BASED RESIN COMPOSITION AND ITS PRODUCTION AND FLAME RETARDANT CABLE

PURPOSE: To provide flame retardant polyolefin based resin compositions having excellent molding processability and flame retardance, its production process and flame retardant cables. CONSTITUTION: Flame retardant polyolefin based resin compositions comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. polyolefin based resin, (B) 30-200 pts.wt. hydrate metallic compound powder, and (C) 0.01-50 pts.wt. branched organopolysiloxane represented by the average unit formula: RaSiO(4-a)/2 (wherein R is an alkyl group or a hydroxyl group and a hydroxyl group content per molecule of 2.0-10.0 wt.%; and a is a number of 0.75-2.5) and containing at least siloxane units represented by the formula: RSiO3/2 (wherein R is the same as defined above) in the molecule. A process for producing the same, and flame retardant cables covered with the flame retardant polyolefin resin compositions are disclosed.
