PURPOSE: To provide a small power consumption booster circuit at a low cost. CONSTITUTION: A charging is provided for booster electrostatic capacity elements series connected. After charging, the electrostatic capacity elements are serially connected, a boosted voltage is discharged, and re-charged in a repeated sequence for re-charging. As a result, charges used for boosting can be supplied finally as an output voltage without being wasted, therefore current consumption can be reduced and electric field applied to respective electrostatic capacity elements can be reduced, so that the film thickness in the electrostatic capacity element can be decreased, thus attaining area reduction.
