PURPOSE: To provide a card type information recording carrier which hardly gives rise to damage and deformation of a shape to allow the easy placement of the carrier at the center of a tray T of a read-out device while assuring this shape. CONSTITUTION: This card type information recording carrier 10 is formed by integral molding of a resin in such a manner that the thickness of a central portion 21 within a specified radius from the center of a rectangular shape is larger than the thickness of its outer portion 22. One surface of both front and rear surfaces is a flat printing surface 30 and has a recording part 40 at the center on the other surface. The surface on the recording part 40 side is formed with a level difference 23 of the plate thickness to an arcuate shape and this level difference 23 fits into the circular recessed part formed at the tray of the write/read-out device, by which the card type information recording carrier 10 is correctly set at the center of the tray.
