PURPOSE: To prevent the easy tendency of the leak-proof walls of an absorptive article to fall to an absorption region side by the abutment pressure with the skin and the consequent degradation in liquid absorption ability. CONSTITUTION: The leak-proof walls 5 disposed on both sides in the transverse direction of the absorptive article have side wall parts 15 rising from a front surface 2a and skin contact parts 16 abutting on the skin. The side wall parts 15 are provided with folded guide parts 17. The folded guide parts 17 are therefore directed toward an outer side and the side wall parts 15 are folded when the skin contact parts 16 are pressed. Consequently, the skin contact parts 16 do not fall largely to the absorptive core 12 side and do not lower a liquid receiving area.
