PURPOSE: To provide an electromagnetic water treating apparatus capable of treatment of a large amount of water with a compact structure by arranging electrodes on the path walls crossed in the axial direction of a pipe line and having mutually a space, such that a work similar to the work operated to a space common in an electric field and a magnetic field is obtained and also an arrangement of an electrode is not restricted with a magnetic field generation means and the degree of freedom of an electrode arrangement method becomes high and an electrode area is increased greatly. CONSTITUTION: In this apparatus, magnetic field generation means 5a, 5b for working magnetic fields to water are arranged in the vicinity of an inlet 7 of a water path region arranged a pair of electrodes 11, 12 mutually with a spacing or in the vicinity of an outlet 8 of it. The water path arranged the electrodes 11, 12 is constituted of path walls 10...10 crossed with a pipe line 2 including the water path and arranged mutually with a spacing, and having opening parts 10a, 10b at a portion. On the path walls 10, the electrodes 11, 12 are arranged along the path wall surfaces.
