PURPOSE: A transformer for low power Ar neon sign is provided to improve the illuminance while adjusting the brightness of the neon sign at low power, to maximize the energy consumption efficiency by minimizing the power consumption, and to realize various colors while maintaining the neon sign compatible with common controllers. CONSTITUTION: In the transformer for low power Ar neon sign, a filter filters out the pulsative element of the input power. A bridge diode(D1) rectifies and converters the pulsative element into a DC power source. Filtering capacitors(PP1,PP2) filter the pulsative element of the rectified DC power source. MOSFETs(MOSFET1,MOSFET2) amplify the minus current of the current filtered by the filtering capacitors(PP1,PP2). A transformer(TRS) transforms the minus current filtered from the MOSFETs by amplification and transforms the plus current filtered from the filtering capacitors by amplification. An output unit produces the amplified/converted AC voltage.
