PURPOSE: A fluid dynamic pressure bearing device is provided to prevent wear of the device due to contact-sliding of dynamic pressure bearing surfaces during the starting and stopping of the device to enhance the durability, facilitate the machining of dynamic pressure generating grooves, and prevent the attraction of the bearing surfaces. CONSTITUTION: By providing a low friction metal layers(C) having water repellency at dynamic pressure bearing parts(3a,3b) of a fluid dynamic pressure bearing device(1) in which a rotor is rotatably supported by the fluid dynamic pressure bearing, friction can be reduced, wear or the generation of dust can be also effectively reduced, and attraction of the bearing surfaces due to dew condensation, etc., is prevented.
