PURPOSE: To provide an optical digitizer which can use a LED on the marker for a light source and can mount an image picking up means in a compact manner. CONSTITUTION: This optical digitizer comprises a light source for emitting light, an image picking up means which is arranged around a coordinate plane, picks up an indicator by utilizing the light of the light source and is or converting the image of the indicator into an electric signal, an operating means for processing the electric signal converted by the image picking up means and calculating instruction position coordinate and a curved mirror which is provided on an optical path between the light source and the image picking up means and is for expanding the angle of visibility for imaging of the image picking up means.
