PURPOSE: An apparatus for interlacing multifilament yarn is provided, which is entangled to scarcely vary stability of the interlacing character of the multifilament yarn in the subsequent processing. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus to eddy multifilament yarns together, to give interlaced yarns, has a yarn channel(3) with at least one blower channel(5',5) opening into it connected to a compressed air feed. The cross section of each blower channel(5',5) expands towards the yarn channel(3). The yarn channel(3) is divided into sections in relation to the opening of the blower channel(5',5), with one section(3') in front of it, one section(3) at the channel opening and one section(3') after it. The second section(3) of the yarn channel(3) has a larger cross section surface at right angles to the yarn channel axis than that of the flanking channels(3',3'). The center section(3) of the yarn channel(3) has a width and a length which increase at least in sections from the opening of the blower channel(5',5) towards the opposite wall of the channel. The length and width of the center section(3) of the yarn channel(3) expand at right angles to the channel axis and concentric to the opening of the blower channel(5',5), away from the blower channel opening.
