PURPOSE:To improve the reproducibility of a restored and recorded picture by detecting the reference position mark of an original (ciphered picture) and limiting the decoding processing to the area prescribed by the detected reference position mark. CONSTITUTION:A tracking area and a tracking mark are added at the time of ciphering copy(ciphering mode), and an erased area is added at the time of decoding copy (decoding mode). When the ciphering mode is selected, the contents of an address conversion table are sorted in accordance with the size of recording paper for recording. When the decoding mode is selected, the contents of the address conversion table are sorted in accordance with the size of the original to be read. When the decoding mode is selected, a system control unit 104 adjusts and controls the angle of a carriage. Thus, the block of processing for decoding copy coincides with that for ciphering copy to prevent the degradation of the reproduced picture due to deviation between blocks. |
