PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for batch liquid-gas reactios wherein substantially all reactive gas is utilized in the reaction such that continuous venting of the reaction vessel is not required in disclosed. CONSTITUTION: When venting the reaction vessel upon substantial completion of the reaction, the vent gas does not contain a significant amount of the reactive gas.
