Crimped fibres are obtained by viscose process in which alkali ratio of viscose is raised just before spinning by adding NaOH solution of 100-750 g/l concn. Alkali ratio of viscose is raised without reducing cellulose content. Fibres spun have good degree of crimping, crimp-resistance, are bulky and elastic have larger no. crimps/unit length. Pref. NaOH concn. is 350 g/l, and it optionally contains hemi-cellulose.
|
