The rotatable fastener acting as the support for the batten holder has a passage extending between two opposite sides of its mantle surface. A slot (20) is provided in the bottom part of the fastener, extending upwards from the fastener underside into the passage to divide this bottom part into two sections (7a, 7b). A belt for lashing the fastener to the mast can be passed through the slot and into the passage. The holder part for the batten is supported by a cylindrical fastener rotatable about a central axis. The bottom part of the fastener is used to position the holder coaxial with the top of the mast.
