PURPOSE: A circuit of saving the standby power of an electronic device is provided to reduce the power loss when converting an AC power source to a DC power source. CONSTITUTION: In the circuit of saving the standby power of an electronic device, a main microcomputer produces various control signals(A). Remote controller data(F) are transmitted between a photo coupler(210) and the main microcomputer(205). Remote controller data(G) are transmitted between the photo coupler(210) and a sub microcomputer(209). The sub microcomputer sends a switching control signal(H) to a switch driver(213). The switch driver(213) sends a switching control signal(I) to a power switch(202).
