POLYESTER DIP CORD FOR SELVAGE OF TIRE CORD FABRIC

PURPOSE: The titled polyester dip cord obtained by disposing polyester grey yarn at the outer area of tire cord fabric and treating with conventional dipping liquids is provided, which resolves partial configuration unstability of tires generated in the manufacture and use of tires. CONSTITUTION: This polyester dip cord simultaneously satisfies the following conditions: a)a degree of crystallinity of less than 40%, b)a birefringence rate of less than 0.19, c)a strength of more than 3.0g/d, d)an elongation at break of more than 35%, a medium elongation of 15 to 30% measured at load of 2.0g/d and a dry heat shrinkage factor of less than 1.0% measured under the condition of 77deg.Cx2minx10.008g/d. The selvage cord comprises within five strands on either side of edges of tire cord.
