PROCESSOR AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING INPUT AND OUTPUT PIN OF THE PROCESSOR

PURPOSE: To provide a processor having a general-purpose I/O pin that has a simple core and can read or write the information out of or into a relative data register with a read or write instruction and also to provide a control method of the processor. CONSTITUTION: This processor includes plural mask registers having plural bits respectively, plural input/output pins which are corresponding to the bits of mask registers and a data input register and a data output register which read and write the data out of and into the input/output pins respectively. Then the accessed data input register or data output register reads or writes the data out of or into the input/output pins in accordance with the states of mask registers. A control method is also prepared to control the processor.
