PURPOSE: A substance separating method is provided to mutually separate more than two kinds of molecules by utilizing a dielectric migration force. CONSTITUTION: The method for separating a substance consists of a first method for forming a composite substance, consisting of a specific molecule in a sample and a substance capable of changing dielectric migration characteristics of the specific molecule from the specific molecule and subsequently subjecting the same to dielectric migration, to separate the composite substance and a molecule other than the specific molecule and a second method utilizing dielectric migration force to allow a solution, in which more than two kinds of molecules are dissolved to be present in a uniform electric field having a strong electric field intensity, that is, an electric field intensity of 500 KV/m or larger.
