PARALLEL BRIDGE-DAMPING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parallel bridge-damping device for suppressing aerodynamic vibration effectively with less expenses in a parallel bridge where at least two bridges are erected in parallel. SOLUTION: A newly installed bridge 1 is erected in parallel with an already installed bridge 2 to form a parallel bridge. The balustrade of the newly installed bridge 1 that becomes the winward side of wind 6 that blows toward the parallel bridge is set to a post type balustrade, thus passing one portion of the wind 6 blowing toward the parallel bridge through the space of the post type, making gentle the wind flow at the upstream side of the parallel bridge, and hence reducing the amplitude of aerodynamic vibration.
