METHOD FOR PRODUCING MALIC ACID MONOAMIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily producing a malic acid monoamide having excellent solution stability while suppressing the formation of by- products. SOLUTION: A malic acid monoamide is produced by the amidation reaction of malic acid with an amine mixture liquid produced by mixing a primary amine and/or a secondary amine to an organic solvent. The reaction temperature of the amidation reaction is preferably <=80 deg.C. The malic acid is preferably a malic acid anhydride, more preferably acetylmalic acid anhydride.
