METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ACCESSING DATA SET AND COMPUTER PRODUCT

PURPOSE: A method and system for accessing data set, and computer product are provided to access to the data from storage which store copy of the data and to select either storage for recalling the data set. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a unit for maintaining a flag for each storage so as to indicate if previous try for access from the storage device to the data set fails. And, the system further comprises a unit for selecting storage having a flag, which indicates that there is no previous failed access try, and a unit for accessing to the data set from the selected storage.
