PURPOSE:To obtain an ethylene-propylene rubber composition containing reinforcing fibers having a radial component of the fiber orientation crossing over the circumferential component of the fiber orientation. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is produced by dispersing 5-80 pts.wt. of short fibers in 100 pts.wt. of a matrix rubber. The matrix rubber is composed of a mixture of 100 pts.wt. of an ethylene-propylene rubber and 20-50 pts.wt. of natural rubber and other rubber compounds. |
