PURPOSE: A dosage controller for a dispenser with child-resistant feature is provided which has relatively few moving parts, thereby easily operated and assembled. CONSTITUTION: A dispenser has a plunger manually reciprocable through a central opening in a closure cap of a container of product to be dispensed, a control ring(29) rotatably mounted on the closure cap in only one direction, cam means(35) on the plunger engageable with abutment means on the control ring for selectively locking the plunger in an initial set position, and means on the control ring engageable with the cam means during plunger reciprocation in a plunger unlocked position for converting translatory motion of the plunger to rotary motion of the control ring in the one direction, the converting means comprising one way gate means establishing individual cam cycles for each reciprocating movement of the plunger causing the control ring to sequentially rotate from the unlocked position through a cycle of rotary motion and to be automatically reset to the locked position.
