摘要 <p>The present invention relates to a sugar-free hard candy containing a maltitol core enclosed within a casing, and the method of making it. The resultant hard candy of the present invention remains non-sticky when exposed to ambient humidity for an hour or more but has the performance and technical advantage as that of maltitol, which would normally give a sticky, deformed and unacceptable candy.</p>
