DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MOTIF PLAYING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synchronize a melody motif, that is a constituting element of a music, and automatic accompaniment and to play them in concert. SOLUTION: When a mode switch is set to a base/rhythm in an OFA mode, an ad-lib motif assigned to each key is automatically played in an upper keyboard. The musical scale of the base played in the upper keyboard is shift corrected based on the code stored in a code root register before entering the mode and the root. 'sAuto-motif' is a perfect automatic playing that start/stops by the operation of a start/stop switch. 'Motif' is a motif playing that start/ stops by the operation of the keyboard. The 'motif' and the 'fauto-motif' are synchronized and executed in accordance with a set tempo. The motif and the auto-motif are executed in a completely same flow chart.
