PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and reliable apparatus for shaft sealing forming a packing fragment to a simple and thin wall shape. SOLUTION: The apparatus consists of a plurality of packing fragments 32 that are set in a peripheral direction so as to osculate with a rotating shaft 7 in a ring-shaped space that is formed by a packing box 30 arranged at the circumference of the rotating shaft 7 and by a packing box cover 31 that covers an opening of the packing box 30. In addition, a comb-shaped ring 40 where a concave part 40a that opens to a radial-internal direction is formed alienated to the peripheral direction is mounted in the packing box 30 and the packing fragments 32 are inlaid and fixed to the concave part 40 of the comb-shaped ring. |
