PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate a system without lowering the availability of an ETC lane as little as possible when a fault occurs. SOLUTION: Concerning the toll collection system for collecting tolls on an ETC lane 5b and a manned lane 5a installed in a tollgate from respective vehicles while dividing the vehicles, which approach the tollgate installed on a toll road, to an ETC suited car for automatically collecting the toll through radio communication and an ETC ill-suited car, this toll collection system is provided with a previous notice antenna 12 for performing radio communication to a vehicle A, which approaches the tollgate, and a previous notice device 10 for identifying whether the vehicle A is an ETC suited car or an ETC ill- suited car on the basis of the radio communication result of this previous notice antenna 12 and guiding the vehicle A identified as any vehicle to the relevant lane. |
