PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of preventing a defective transfer and the occurrence of uneven density in a carrying direction, even in the case where current flows from a member which comes into contact with a transfer material at a transfer process, in addition to a transfer means. SOLUTION: An image is formed on an image carrier 1 by an image forming means 5, and also, the transfer material P is made to pass through a transfer part (t) formed between the image carrier 1 and the transfer means 2 which is arranged facing the image carrier 1, and the image formed on the image carrier 1 is transferred to the transfer material P. And, a transfer current supply source 11 for supplying a fixed current to the transfer member 2 in order to transfer the image to the transfer material P is controlled by a current control means 10, and the magnitude of the transfer current to be supplied to the transfer member 2 is switched in accordance with the carrying position of the transfer material P, then, the magnitude of the current flowing toward the image carrier is always kept constant. |
