PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for inspecting piping capable of allowing an inspection instrument to run through a piping while holding the same in an allowable range, regardless of the state of the piping. SOLUTION: In the piping inspecting method feeding a fluid through a pipeline 1 under pressure from the upstream side of the pipeline to the downstream side thereof to allow an inspection pig P to run to perform inspection, the pressure on the downstream side of the inspection pig P is detected, and the flow rate of the fluid fed under pressure on the downstream side of the pig is controlled, so as to be increased when the pressure on the downstream side is lowered but is reduced, when the pressure on the downstream side is raised. |
