<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a member cutting apparatus which can accurately process a covering material at the connecting end to a conic shape while keeping a high voltage cable in the stationary condition. SOLUTION: This member cutting apparatus is composed of a core cable holding part (X) for holding the core cable of a cable (35), a cable fixing mechanism (Y) for holding a covering material, a reciprocal movement body (F) on which a rotating body (A) is mounted to rotate around the cable (35), a reciprocal operation mechanism (B) for gradually changing the moving distance (L) of the rotating body (A) for realizing the reciprocal movement along the cable (35), a covering material cutting part (4) for cutting out the covering material (35b) through rotation with the rotating body (A), a cutting part moving mechanism (D) for moving the covering material cutting part (4) toward the core cable (35) or isolating the same from the core cable (35a), and a supporting member (32) arranged to move in the longitudinal direction of the cable (35) independent of the rotating body (A), while supporting the external circumference of the cable (35) to support the external circumference of the cable (35) at the area between the covering material cutting part (4) and cable fixing mechanism (Y).</p> |
