PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system that can reduce a capacity of a memory for a wireless controller and can relieve a load for assignment processing of an identifier to specify a wireless terminal. SOLUTION: A wireless base station 112a provides a temporary terminal identifier to a wireless terminal 111 in timing of forming a wireless link with the wireless terminal 111 and manages the relation between an identifier specific to the wireless terminal 111 and the temporary terminal identifier given to the wireless terminal 111. Thus, a wireless channel controller 13 (network side) requires no memory to manage the relation between the terminal information specific to the wireless terminal 111 and its temporary terminal identifier and assignment of the temporary terminal identifier to the wireless terminal 111 is not needed.
