PID ADDRESSING METHOD USING WOBBLE SIGNAL, WOBBLE ADDRESS ENCODING CIRCUIT, ITS DETECTING METHOD AND CIRCUIT, AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PID addressing method using wobble, signals, a wobble address encoding circuit, its detecting method and circuit, and a recording medium. SOLUTION: On either one of the both side walls of a groove track, groove address information that indicates physical identification information is modulated in phase using wobble clock signals are recorded. On the other side wall, land address information is modulated in phase using wobble clock signals that are shifted in phase from the wobble clock signals by a prescribed angle and recorded. Thus, address information modulated by using the wobble signals between adjacent tracks having 90 deg. phase difference is recorded so that the information becomes QPSK signals, much data can be recorded, a segment having no wobble signal is not generated and the wobble clock signals can be easily restored.
