PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital camera where a user needs not recognize which of a plurality of slots is to be selected when a memory card or the like is mounted. SOLUTION: A CPU 17 accesses a plurality of slots 41a, 41b provided to a digital camera 1 for each definite period of time and detects a mount state of memory cards 40a, 40b onto the respective slots 41a, 41b. Then the CPU 17 selects one slot of an access object based on the mount state of the memory cards 40a, 40b onto the slots 41a, 41b. There are three modes prepared for modes for this selection as a fixed mode, a first priority mode and an operation mode.
