PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup device whose adjusting process is simple and whose cost is reduced. SOLUTION: The device is provided with an optical unit 102 having a main body 102a including a first light emitting element and a light receiving element, a laser diode 101 having a main body 101a including a second light emitting element exiting laser beams having a wavelength different from that of the first light emitting element, and a beam splitter 103 on which respective laser beams exited from the first and second light emitting elements are made incident and also which guides respective laser beams to a CD 61 or a DVD 62 as the same optical path. Return light from the CD 61 or the DVD 62 to the respective laser beams is received by the light receiving element. |
