PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-speed optical signal reproducing device having a configuration simpler than that of conventional technology. SOLUTION: The optical signal reproducing device is characterized by the configuration, where an optical branching filter 1 divides a received signal light into two, light-receiving elements 2, 3 respectively receive the signals, a bistable element 8 receives the signals with an opposite sign to each other from the light-receiving elements 2, 3 via electrical signal transmission lines 4, 5 whose electric lengths differ, and an optical modulation element 9, operated according to an output of the bistable element 8 and brought into an optical transmission state only for a time after the bistable element 8 receives the signal via the transmission line (4 or 5) with a short electric length until the bistable element 8 receives the signal via the transmission line (5 or 4) with a long electric length, modulates an output light from a mode-locked laser 10 lighted according to a timing signal extracted from the output signal of the light-receiving element 2 by a timing extract circuit 6. |
