PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a producing method which attains a higher yield than the conventional techniques and reduces metal and halogen contents. SOLUTION: A compound having a phenolic hydroxyl group is reacted with a naphthoquinonediazidesulfonyl halide in an organic solvent using dibasic amines to obtain the objective naphthoquinonediazide photoreceptor material having a reduced metal content with a high yield.
