<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a topboard opening/closing device of a grand piano which is relatively inexpensive, does not impair the appearance of the piano and enables even females on children to easily, surely and slowly close a topboard. SOLUTION: The topboard opening/closing device of the grand piano which opens and closes the topboard 2 having a topboard rear 3 mounted freely turnably around a fulcrum 4 to an outer rim 5 is provided with a topboard prop 8a which is freely turnably connected to a position where its one end faces the fulcrum 4 of the outer rim 5, and a piston type oil damper 12 which is mounted at the rear surface of the topboard rear 3, projects toward the side opposite to the fulcrum 4, is disposed along the rear surface of the topboard rear 3 freely expandably and contractably in a direction orthogonal with the turning axis of the fulcrum 4, has a piston 15 freely turnably connected to the other end of the topboard prop 8a and brakes the topboard 2 by the piston 15 by pressing of the topboard prop 8a when the topboard rear 3 turns to the closing piston side.</p> |
