PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inductive load driver which causes reverse recovery current to perish softly, and suppresses generation of surge voltage. SOLUTION: In the inductive load driver which performs periodical switching of a switching device 2 connected in series, and causes current to flow into an inductive load 1 intermittently, a free wheel FET4 is arranged in parallel with the inductive load 1, to form a passage for free wheel current when the switching device 2 is switched off. The free wheel FET4 is turned on, when the switching device 2 is switched off, and the free wheel current begins to flow in the diode portion of the free wheel FET4. When the switching device 2 is switched on, the free wheel FET4 is turned off gradually.
