摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe microwave oven inexpensively in which operation stops before generating fire or smoke due to short circuit by detecting a layer short-circuit of a secondary coil of a high voltage transformer. SOLUTION: The microwave oven using high frequency inverter 21 comprises resonance voltage lowering detecting means 14 for detecting a time when peak value of resonance voltage being voltage at both ends of switching element 8 arrives in a predetermined value to stop a control means 9, and start timer means 13 for preventing the stop of the control means 9 of the resonance voltage lowering detecting means 14 for predetermined time by receiving output command from an operating part 10. Therefore, the microwave oven can be stopped when there is detected lowering of the peak value due to generation of the rare short circuit of the secondary coil of the high voltage transformer.
