PARKING CHARGE COLLECTION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking charge collection system which can notify a user who is remote from a parking lot that a parking charge is to be added soon. SOLUTION: This parking charge collection system which performs a collecting process for the charge for use of the parking lot by a DSRC with a vehicle mounted with an on-vehicle unit is provided with a communication means 36 which obtains the telephone number corresponding to the vehicle ID obtained by DSRC from the vehicle from a center 50 where individual information is registered, a data holding means 33 holds the obtained telephone number, a communication process means 35 which dials the obtained telephone number through a public telephone network 61, a message generating means 32 which generates a message to be sent to the called destination, and a control means 34 which calculates how long the vehicle is parked in the parking lot and calls the communication process means when the stay time reaches a prescribed time. A message indicating that a parking charge is to be added soon can be sent to the portable telephone set of the user who is remote from the parking lot through the communication process means at a prescribed time before the parking charge is added.
