<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic toll collection system which can collect a toll without arranging a structure by a toll road nor preparing a narrow passage such as a dedicated lane with respect to a toll collection system for the toll road. SOLUTION: The automatic toll collection system which receives an entrance code at an entrance of the toll road and collects a toll according to a code at an exit of the toll road has a number imparting zone 3, a reading zone 4, a switching zone 5, a writing zone 6, and a confirmation zone 7 on a road 1 nearby a toll gate in the direction where vehicles travel, and those zones constitute a toll collection zone on the whole. Lane markers having alternate chessboard pattern are arranged at positions where they are securely captured by the antenna of a vehicle 2 when the vehicle passes.</p> |
