PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide communications equipment that can receive caller information of a caller at the arrival of an incoming call and can transmit more information of the caller to a user, without causing hindrance to communication. SOLUTION: When an incoming call detection section 67 and a caller number reception section 6 detect and receive an incoming display tone and an information reception terminal start tone reached from a communication line 1 in a communication state, a main control section 13 compares a caller telephone number received by the caller number reception section 6, with telephone directory data stored in advance in a storage section 9, and when matching data exist, the corresponding telephone directory data are read and a display section 10 displays part of a destination name, and a voice utterance section 11 converts part of the destination name into a voice signal and a loudspeaker 11 sounds the voice signal to inform the user about the presence of an interrupt.
