PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the driving control method of photosensor system, capable of realizing image reader, where reliability is fully secured by suppressing the deterioration of element characteristic caused by the bias of a voltage waveform applied to the gate terminal of a double-gate photosensor. SOLUTION: In a reset operation, a reverse bias voltage waveform with respect to the voltage waveform of reset pulsesϕT1,ϕT2...,ϕTn to be applied to the top gate terminal TG of the double-gate photosensor 10 is added, immediately after the processing cycle of the image reading operation. Furthermore, in reading operation, a reverse bias voltage waveform with respect to the voltage waveform of reading pulsesϕB1,ϕB2...,ϕBn to be applied to the bottom gate terminal BG of the photosensor 10 is added immediately before or after the processing cycle of the image reading operation.
