PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the reversal of the processing sequence of control signals, and to stabilize an operation by taking over the function of a transfer processing part in a multiprocessor system and a function succession controlling method for taking over the function of the transfer processing of a control signal. SOLUTION: This multiprocessor system is provided with a table (HCP table) 7 indicating the destination of transfer of a control signal to which a key number KEY is added and a CPU use ratio table 6 for updating the use ratio corresponding to CP substrates 1-1-1-n (CP1-CPn) in a fixed cycle. Then, the CP substrate being the destination of the transfer of a control signal is decided by referring to the table 7 by the function of a transfer processing part (HCP) 8 of the CP substrate on which a processor is loaded, and when the use ratio is increased, or when any failure or closure is generated, the CP substrate whose use ratio is low is selected by referring to the CPU use ratio table 6, and allowed to take over the function of the transfer processing part.
