<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming an image by which deterioration in an electrifying member due to contamination by a charge controlling agent in a contact electrification method is hardly caused and an image in an almost equal level to that of the initial image can be obtained even for continuous use. SOLUTION: In the method for forming an image by bringing an electrifying member into contact with the body to be electrified and externally applying a voltage to electrify the body, the toner used contains a charge controlling agent expressed by general formula (I), and the amount of the charge controlling agent on the toner surface is 2.0×10-2 g/g. In formula (I), M is CrIII, FeIII, CoIII, CuI, CuII or ZnII, A is H, alkali metal or <=8C quaternary ammonium, each of R1 and R2 is a hydrogen atom, halogen atom, nitro group or alkyl group, R3 is a hydrogen atom, halogen atom, nitro group, carboxyl group, hydroxyl group, alkyl group or carbamoyl group having an aryl group which may have halogen atoms or nitro groups.</p> |
