PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PHS where deterioration in voice quality due to a quantization error or the like can be prevented in the case of converting ADPCM voice data for a wireless section into data for an ISDN channel and converting data for an ISDN channel into ADPCM voice data for a wireless section. SOLUTION: Voice information of 32 kbps adopting an ADPCM system received from a wireless section is transmitted as it is as a high-order 4-bit information of a B channel for a section of an ISDN channel and information different from the voice information is also transmitted as low-order 4-bit information of the B channel so as to realize a data signal rate of 64 kbps for the ISDN section.
