PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interphone system, where a monitor section is removed from a master set and can be used from anywhere in a room, and the monitor section is easily moved to an easily and visually recognized position. SOLUTION: This monitor section 7 of a master set 1 of the interphone system is assembled removably with a monitor container section 2. Furthermore, the monitor section 7 consists of a transmission section 7a and a reception section 7b, that are removed from the master set 1 and attain transmission reception of a signal between the master set 1 and the monitor section 7, a transmission receiving loudspeaker 7c and a transmission receiving microphone 7d, a connector 7e to which a cable 50 is connected, a battery 7f which is a power supply for the monitor section 7, a battery contact 7g and an input output interface 7h. Thus, when the monitor section 7 is removed from the master set 1 and placed singly in a room, the transmission receiving between a slave set 14 and the monitor section 7 can be attained.
