PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large-sized, sheet light-emitting device which exhibits a high and uniform luminous brightness. SOLUTION: An incident end of a multi-core optical fiber tape 3 is connected to a module consisting of a light source 1, such as a halogen lamp, integrated with a combination lens 2. A condenser lens 4 having a cylindrical shape cut off at its opposite side is connected to a light-emitting end branched off from a wire core of the optical fiber. The rear of the condenser lens 4 faces a light- receiving side a of an illuminating plate 5. The illuminating plate 5 is formed by forming a plurality of grooves 52 of a V-shaped cross section on a surface of a transparent thin film 51 formed of glass or acryl in a direction parallel to the light-receiving side a. Further, on the upper surface of the resultant illuminating plate 5 having the grooves 52 is laid a light-scattering material 53 formed from frosted glass or opaque plastic, and on the lower surface and other sides is laid an irregular reflection material 54 formed of paper, cloth, etc. Additionally, on the outer side of the irregular reflection material 54, there is disposed an inwardly faced mirror 55 whose outer side is coated with a flexible material 56. |
