PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multicast protocol relay method and system, and a recording medium for recording a multicast protocol relay program by which production of a delay and deterioration in average throughput can be suppressed. SOLUTION: This method and relay is characterized in that a proxy computer relays contents of multicast communication received by the proxy computer by employing a highly reliable multicast protocol decided by a proxy network independently of a multicast protocol used in a server/client network within the proxy network through highly reliable multicast communication, where the proxy computer simultaneously conducts reception and transmission in parallel in the proxy network.
