<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately reduce power consumption while ensuring the agreeable use of a main body device by automatically setting the time shifting to an energy saving mode in accordance with respective installation environments of the main body device in an energy saving controller. SOLUTION: An energy saving CPU 13 which is mounted on a facsimile main body device 10 commonly used by a plurality of connected PCs 20 and shifts the device 10 to an energy saving mode limiting power supply to each part of a device including a main control part 11 when the standby time of the device 10 passes a time set in an energy saving shift time setting part 15, calculates an operating ratio from the number of connected PCs 20 read from the number of connected PCs storing part 14 and the number of operating PCs obtained by counting power ON notification signals sent from the PCs 20 in the case of supplying power and returning from the energy saving mode and sets a time corresponding to the operating ratio as a time shifting the device 10 to the energy saving mode in the energy saving shift time setting part 15.</p> |
