PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable phone, in which an incoming call can surely arrive with high expectation, even in the case that a charger with an antenna installed in the middle of a building is used for charging. SOLUTION: When the portable phone 20 is fixed to a prescribed position of the charger 10 with an antenna that charges a phone battery 23 of the portable phone 20 and is provided with an external antenna 41, in addition to a built-in antenna 21 of the portable phone 20, the external antenna 41 is connected to a wireless circuit 24 through a changeover switch 27 of the portable phone 20, and the built-in antenna 21 is disconnected from the wireless circuit 24. Furthermore, when the portable phone 20 is fixed to the prescribed position of the charger 10, a coupling notice section 17 and a coupling detection section 26 transmits/receives a coupling signal to inform normal coupling and the coupling detection section 26 controls the changeover switch 27, so as to maximally enhance the performance of the antenna and to avoid the situation where the incoming call is received, while the antenna is set to an incomplete state.
